1

Measure Your Window

For inside mount: measure the exact width and height of the window recess at 3 points (top, middle, bottom). Use the narrowest width.
For outside mount: add 6–10 cm on each side of the window frame for optimal light blockage. Measure from desired rod position to floor or sill.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Always measure twice before ordering. Width tolerances of Β±1 cm are acceptable.
2

Mark Bracket Positions

Hold the rod bracket against the wall at the desired height (typically 10–15 cm above the window frame). Mark screw holes with a pencil. Use a spirit level to ensure both brackets are perfectly horizontal. For rods over 150 cm, add a center support bracket.

3

Drill & Fix Brackets

Drill pilot holes at your marks. Insert wall anchors if you are not drilling into a stud. Screw brackets firmly into place and test they are secure by pulling down with moderate force.

⚠️ For concrete or tiled walls, use a masonry drill bit and appropriate anchors.
4

Thread the Curtains

Thread the curtain rod through the eyelet rings, rod pocket, or clip rings before placing on brackets. For pinch pleat, attach the hooks to the pleat tape first, then hang on the rod or track gliders.

5

Mount the Rod & Adjust

Place the threaded rod onto the brackets and lock into position. Spread the curtains evenly across the rod. Adjust the heading pleats or eyelet spacing for an even, full look. The curtain should just touch or break slightly on the floor for a luxurious appearance.

πŸ’‘ For blackout curtains, ensure the panel overlaps the window frame by at least 5 cm on each side.
Inside Mount

Inside Mount

Curtain fits within the window recess. Clean, minimal look. Best for deep window sills.

Outside Mount

Outside Mount

Rod extends beyond the frame. Makes windows appear larger. Best for blackout coverage.

Ceiling Mount

Ceiling Mount

Rod fixed to ceiling. Maximizes height illusion. Popular in hotels and modern interiors.

Roller Blind Installation

Works for standard roller, zebra (dual), and blackout roller blinds.

1

Choose Inside or Outside Mount

Inside mount: the blind sits within the window recess for a neat fit. Outside mount: bracket is fixed to the wall above the window for better light blockage. Measure accordingly.

2

Mark & Drill Bracket Holes

Hold each bracket in position, mark screw locations, and drill pilot holes. Brackets should be level β€” use a spirit level. Standard roller blinds have a pin-end bracket (round) and a drive-end bracket (square/slotted).

πŸ’‘ The drive end (with the chain or spring) goes on the left or right based on your preference.
3

Secure Brackets to Wall

Screw the brackets firmly to the wall or window frame. Insert wall plugs if needed. Ensure brackets are parallel and at the same depth to avoid the blind rolling at an angle.

4

Click the Blind into Brackets

Insert the pin end into the round bracket first, then push the drive end (the side with the chain) into the square bracket until it clicks. Most brackets have a snap-lock mechanism.

5

Test Operation & Adjust Tension

Pull the chain to lower and raise the blind. If the blind doesn't return properly, adjust the tension using the pin on the pin-end bracket β€” turn clockwise to increase tension.

⚠️ Child safety: always use a cord cleat or tensioner for chain cords in rooms used by children.

Roman Shade Installation

For flat-fold, relaxed, and balloon roman shade styles.

1

Mount the Headrail / Board

The roman shade ships with a fabric-wrapped headrail or mounting board. For inside mount, place the board inside the window recess and mark bracket positions at each end. For outside mount, position 5 cm above the frame.

2

Fix Mounting Hardware

Screw the L-brackets or face-mount brackets into the ceiling/wall. Ensure they are level. Slide the headrail into the brackets and lock in place with the provided pins or screws.

3

Thread the Lift Cords

If your shade is a corded style: thread the lift cords through the rings sewn into the fabric, up through the rings on the headrail, and through the cord lock. Tie an equalizer knot at the pull end.

πŸ’‘ Cordless roman shades simply lift and lower by gripping the bottom rail β€” no cord threading needed.
4

Test Folds & Adjust

Lower the shade fully and check that all horizontal folds are even. Adjust individual ring spacing if needed. Dress the folds by hand when first installing to train the fabric into clean pleats.

Motorized Blind Installation

For our smart roller and Roman shade systems compatible with Alexa, Google Home & Matter.

⚠️ Motorized systems require a 230V / 110V power source near the window, or can use rechargeable battery motors. Ensure power is off before connecting wired motors. If in doubt, consult a licensed electrician.
1

Install Brackets (Same as Standard)

Follow steps 1–3 of the Roller Blind guide above. The brackets are identical β€” the difference is entirely in the tube motor replacing the manual spring or chain mechanism.

2

Connect Power or Charge Battery

Wired motor: connect the motor lead to the power cable in the wall. Use the supplied terminal block connector. Battery motor: charge fully via USB-C before installation (approx. 4–6 hours).

3

Mount the Motorized Tube

Click the tube (with motor inside) into the brackets exactly as you would a standard roller. The motor end (heavier) goes into the drive bracket.

4

Pair with the App

Download the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app. Power on the motor β€” the LED blinks. Open the app β†’ Add Device β†’ Curtain/Blind Motor β†’ follow pairing instructions. Once paired, set upper and lower travel limits using the app calibration wizard.

πŸ’‘ For Alexa or Google Home, link your Smart Life account in the respective smart home app after pairing.
5

Set Travel Limits & Test

Use the app to set the fully open (top) and fully closed (bottom) positions. Test multiple open/close cycles and adjust limits if the blind over- or under-travels. Enable schedules and voice commands as desired.

No-Drill / Adhesive Mount

Perfect for renters, UPVC frames, or tiled splashbacks where drilling is not possible.

⚠️ No-drill adhesive mounts are suitable for blinds up to 4 kg. For heavier drapes or large windows, use a tension rod or consider a light drilled bracket. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and grease-free before application.
1

Clean the Mounting Surface

Wipe the window frame or wall area with isopropyl alcohol (70%). Allow to dry completely β€” at least 10 minutes. Remove any paint flakes, dust or silicone residue. The adhesive will not bond to wet or dirty surfaces.

2

Peel & Position the Adhesive Pads

Peel the backing from one side of the adhesive pad and attach to the bracket. Peel the second backing, position the bracket in place and press firmly for 30 seconds. Hold β€” do not slide the bracket once contact is made.

πŸ’‘ Use a spirit level app on your phone to ensure the bracket is perfectly horizontal before pressing.
3

Wait for Full Adhesion

Allow 24 hours before hanging any weight. The adhesive reaches full strength after curing. In cold conditions (below 10Β°C), allow 48 hours.

4

Hang & Test

Click or hang the blind onto the cured brackets. Test by applying gentle downward pressure before releasing the blind weight fully. Avoid pulling sideways on the blind when operating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common installation questions answered

How high above the window should I hang my curtains? β–Ύ
For a standard look, hang the rod 10–15 cm above the window frame. For a dramatic, ceiling-height look popular in hotels and modern homes, hang the rod just below or at ceiling height. The higher the rod, the taller the room appears.
How wide should curtain panels be compared to the window? β–Ύ
For a full, gathered look, each curtain panel should be 1.5Γ— to 2Γ— the width of the half-window. For example, a 100 cm wide window needs panels totaling 150–200 cm width. Sheer curtains typically require 2Γ— to 2.5Γ— fullness.
What length should floor-to-ceiling curtains be? β–Ύ
Measure from the top of the rod to the floor. For a clean look, subtract 1–2 cm so the hem just clears the floor. For a "puddle" or luxurious hotel look, add 5–20 cm so the fabric breaks on the floor. We offer custom lengths β€” contact us for your exact measurements.
Can I install curtains on concrete walls? β–Ύ
Yes. Use a hammer drill with a masonry bit sized to your wall anchors (typically 6–8 mm). Insert plastic rawl plugs into the holes before screwing in the bracket screws. For very hard concrete, SDS drill bits provide faster, cleaner holes.
My roller blind won't retract fully β€” what do I do? β–Ύ
This is a spring tension issue. Remove the blind from the brackets. Roll the fabric up manually two full turns, then re-hang. If it still doesn't retract fully, remove and roll 4 more turns. Over-tensioning (too many manual rolls) causes the blind to shoot up aggressively β€” simply unroll 2 turns to reduce tension.
